Private Lessons

I offer guitar, songwriting and music production lessons for students of any experience level, from those looking to write and record their first demos, to more advanced producers looking to polish and refine their recordings or arrangements at home. Most lessons are currently taught remotely, but will be available to teach privately in Westchester as the COVID-19 pandemic is under control.

Learn to record and produce your own songs in whatever industry standard DAW you'd like (Logic Pro, Protools, or Ableton Live). 

​

Introductory Garageband lessons are available for those just getting started.

Songwriting

Demystify the building blocks of songwriting, including form, melody and chord progressions, and lyric writing. 

 

More experienced songwriters can develop and refine their own songs with the techniques and devices used by the greats, understood through active listening and analysis. 

Guitar

Whether you're just picking up the guitar, looking to grow your command of the fretboard, or just hoping to shake the rust off, I'm here to help!

I've had a guitar in my hands for most of my life, and have taught for fifteen years. Lesson plans and curriculums are personalized based on a student's interests and needs.

Zack is a songwriter, producer, teacher and audio engineer living in Croton on Hudson, NY. Before completing his Masters in Studio Composition from SUNY Purchase, he spent years as a guitarist and songwriter in bands Yucky Duster and Slonk Donkerson, during which he toured extensively and recorded albums that have received praise in The Guardian, Stereogum, VICE and more. He writes and records music as

Starstruck, and released his solo debut on System Dialing Records in 2020.
